BUILDER OVERVIEW
The builder is where the market administrator controls access and content that gets delivered to users. Here’s a brief overview of the builder portal components:
APPLICATIONS
When applications are selected from the left hand menu, you'll see the different application modules that are available in your market. Each module has the version number available for each module as well as the size of the application. The actions on the right hand side give the administrator the ability to control different components of their application module.
NOTIFY
Clicking Notify brings up a menu of the users that have access to this application module. You can simply type in a title and a message and select the users that you'd like to send the notification to and they'll receive a push notification on their device as long as they have allowed it on their device. This is a great feature that lets you communicate directly with your users about recent updates or features of the application.
EDIT
Under the edit section, the administrator can change and update content menus and other collateral inside their app module. Find more information about editing your app in the Updating your app section.
PUBLISH
The publish section under actions allows the administrator to publish the changes that they've made in their app module to themselves so they can confirm on their device. After confirming that the updates look great on your personal device, you can go to a rollout.
ROLLOUT
Rollout is similar to notify as it sends out a push notification to any or all users of an app module. With that push notification, they also get a new version of their app available to them. And with one touch updating, the user can simply touch the push notification and it will launch Scania Marketing Tool and install the app update.
USERS
Under the user section on the left hand side, you'll be able to see a list of all users that are available inside a market. User access is controlled by Scania Central, but all available users inside this market will show up in this portion of the builder. The administrator can click on, edit to see the user profile of any of the users. The administrator can toggle access to any app module for each user. You will also see an initial install date as well as an updated date.
ASSETS
Under the assets tab you can see the library of assets and content used to create your app. In this area, you can remove or overwrite items. You can search for assets using the search bar at the top. Click the thumbnail to bring up a larger view of the image. Clicking away to close that thumbnail view.
DASHBOARD
Under the dashboard section, you'll see the analytics for all app modules inside of a market.
You can click the dropdown to toggle between different app modules to see a more specific look. You can view menu visits, collections shown and content shared. There is an overview of devices and platforms and you can also see the highest viewed content. You can select a date range and export a report in a CSV file format or a PDF format.
