Push Notifications


Push notifications are a great feature of your Scania Marketing Tool. Admins can notify users of new company information or announcements rather than sending out emails. You can also notify users of new content updates to their specific app.
Under the applications tab, each application module has actions that can be used by the market administrator to either send a notification, roll out or notify the users that there's been an update to their application.
STEP 1
To use the notify action, the administrator simply clicks, notify and a list of all users that have access to that application will pop up. You can select send to all or select specific users.
STEP 2
Type in the title and a message and then click SEND. An alert will show up in the right hand corner showing success and a green box.
STEP 3
After that page is done, you can move on to the next page and send more updates to other users in the app. This action allows sending up to 50 users per page.
Please note that users must have actively logged in and authenticated in the past 48 hours to receive notifications.

The rollout action is used to send an update to the users. After the market administrator has updated content, published to themselves and confirmed the content update is correct on their device, they will click rollout.

Typically an update would be sent to all.


Users will receive a notification on their device. The user should touch the notification and It automatically launches the Scania Marketing Tool and installs the content update and opens their market app.
